Government’s commitment towards the building of a National Cathedral will be between 20 to 30 million dollars, Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta has revealed.
He said though God will build His own temple, the State will hold a fundraiser to enable it to accumulate more money for the construction of the National Cathedral.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme, Thursday the Finance Minister said the entire project will cost over $100 million.
He said the 5,000-seat auditorium Cathedral project will also bequeath to the country a gracious national park for all Ghanaians; bring new skills, technology and jobs to the country; and will act as a beacon to national, regional and international tourists.
Mr Ofori-Atta said he does not shiver when it comes to the things of God because “He can do it.”
