Member of Parliament [MP] for Lower Manya Krobo Constituency, Ebenezer Okletey Tei-Larbi, has expressed unhappiness about what he says is the penchant of the New Patriotic Party to lay claim to everything good in Ghana.

The NDC man says his party has contributed immensely to the economy of Ghana hence he finds unfair for the incumbent government to take all the credit.

The MP’s statement follows the incumbent government’s claim that they are better managers of the economy because of the improvement in some macroeconomic indicators.

“When did the president form his government, his first budget was in April 2017 when you look at the projections and the GDP growth in 2017, comparing it to 2018 and 2019, you ask: what  exactly did they do,” he said in an interview on UTV  monitored by Adomonline.com.

He argued that the good performance of the economy in 2017 was as a result of the competent work of the Mahama government.

“When you check the tangent, one begins to ask: what was  the incumbent government’s contribution that led to the 7.3 – 7.4 GDP growth in 2017; what exactly did they do that they are taking credit for? Did businesses boom all of a sudden,” he quizzed.
