The Central Regional Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs is worried about the confident level the only independent candidate in the presidential race.

According to him, Jacobs Osei Yeboah should weigh his chances and bow out honourably from the race to avoid the huge humiliation.

Allotey Jacobs comment comes after the aspiring president said he will pull a surprise in the December 7 presidential elections.

JOY as he is affectionately called urged supporters of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and NDC to make paramedic ready since their flagbearer will slip into coma when he is announced winner of the elections.

“I will shock Nana Addo and John Mahama with my win. I want them to get ambulances at their homes to rush them to hospitals when they collapse. I don’t want any of them to die because as someone who wants a unity government they will need to be part”, he disclosed.

But Allotey Jacobs in an interview on Adom News said the independent candidate is just building castles in the air.

He said even in the Central region, Mr. Osei Yeboah does not have a single poster in the town to announce his presence in the race.

The Central region NDC Chairman suggested the presidential hopeful start from the district level by contesting in the assembly elections to gain some political experience.

“JOY is just boasting; he knows he will not win the elections so I will advise him to consider contesting the next assembly election” he added.

Allotey Jacobs maintains that, the NDC will retain power with a landslide victory in the December polls.

“The Mahama magic is working; his victory is one touch and nothing can change it” he stressed.

Also, a deputy communications director of the NPP, Nana Boakye described the claims by JOY as laughable.

He said most people believe voting for JOY will not have any impact thus not even his wife and children will vote for him.

Nana Boakye is more than convinced the NPP led by Nana Akufo-Addo will emerge victorious after the election.
