Former Ghana defender John Paintsil has been reassigned from the Black Stars to the Black Satellites coaching staff as part of a technical restructuring by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Paintsil, who most recently served as the Black Stars’ High Performance coach, will now work as an assistant coach with Ghana’s U-20 men’s national team.
The 44-year-old was initially appointed as an assistant coach to the Black Stars following Otto Addo’s return before later being moved into the High Performance role.
The former Fulham, Leicester City and West Ham United full-back will now continue his coaching development with the national youth setup as the Black Satellites begin preparations for next year’s U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
According to the GFA, the move is part of a broader technical restructuring aimed at improving focus and efficiency across Ghana’s various national teams.
