The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency has donated school desks to the Roman Ridge M/A Basic School in the constituency following a request from the school authorities.
According to the MP, the intervention was necessary because several of the school’s old wooden desks had become weak and were no longer suitable for use by pupils.
In a social media post, the MP said several classrooms have already had their desks completely replaced as part of efforts to improve the learning environment for pupils in the community.
The MP said the donation forms part of efforts to respond to the needs of constituents and support education in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
He reiterated a commitment to supporting initiatives that improve the welfare and learning conditions of children in the constituency.
“Following calls by the school authorities, yesterday i donated school desks to the Roman Ridge M/A Basic School located in Roman Ridge in my cherised Ayawaso West constituency. The old wooden school desks have become weak and not fit for purpose for our kids in the community. Several classrooms have had all their desks replaced,” the post said.
