Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Obiri Boahen, has said that he is confident justice would be served in the murder of late Abuakwa North Member of Parliament, Joseph Boakye Dankwa-Adu.
Although Nana Obiri Boahen took turns to bemoan the delay of the matter, he is optimistic that justice would be served one day.

“I know there are contradictions as far as this matter is concerned but I trust that justice would be served one day,” he told Accra-based Neat FM monitored by Adomonline.com.
It’s been three years after the death of the legislator.
His alleged killer, Daniel Asiedu, was arrested a few days after the murder and has been standing trial with a second suspect.

To mark the third anniversary of his death, the late MP’s widow, Ivy Heward-Mills, has said Ghana is still playing games with her husband’s murder case three years after the incident.
But Lawyer Obiri Boahene, commenting on the widow’s concerns said Daniel Asiedu, one of the suspects standing trial for the murder of the former has not been consistent with his evidence in court.

Lawyer Obiri Boahen, who has stayed abreast with the case since it went to trial, described Daniel Asiedu as a dishonest character whose words should not be taken seriously.
This notwithstanding, he is confident that justice would be served to determine the true nature of the case.
