The Minister of Information Mustapha Hamid has revealed that his office would set up a national call centre  at the Ministry in 2018.
The call centre, he said would allow Ghanaians to volunteer information on the happenings across the country.
“The National Communication Authority has approved toll free numbers for all networks. This is to aid Ghanaians call to volunteer information of the happenings across the country to help government address pertinent issues in real time,” the Minister hinted in an interview with Ekow Vincent Asafuah on Homebase TV.
The call centre, he hinted would become operational in a few weeks time and would help government respond to the developmental needs of Ghanaians in good time.
Mustapha Hamid who was analysing the achievements of the Nana Addo administration in the first 11 months said the Ministry has also set up a Media Monitoring Center, to monitor the activities of every media house in the country.

Workers at the centre offers first hand information on happenings on various media houses in the country.
The introduction of the free Senior House School (SHS), revamping of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), restoration of trainee allowances, introductions of the paperless port systems and planting for food and jobs were all listed as part of the achievements of the Akufo-Addo administration within the first 11 months.
Mustapha Hamid further called on Ghanaians to have faith in the Nana Addo administration as according to him, he possesses 3 key seeds of Compassion, Commitment and Competence to succeed as a leader.
“Nana Addo over the years has had the desire to promote education in Ghana and the social well being of the people, his penchant for fighting corruption continues to be loud. In 2008, Nana Addo went round all African countries to have first hand information on the development issues and challenges of their countries.
“The government is on track and we shall continue to make Ghanaians proud of the overwhelming endorsement in the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary elections,” he said.
