The press event featuring US-based gospel artiste Mz Nana at AH Hotel in East Legon was a resounding success last Friday, February 2, 2024 at AH Hotel, East Legon.

Hosted by the charismatic Fiifi Forson and the delightful Doreen Avio, the occasion served as a platform for Mz Nana to officially introduce herself to the Ghanaian media.

Expressing her overwhelming gratitude, Mz Nana, who embarked on her gospel music journey in 2022, emphasized her commitment to staying in the industry.

Despite the geographical distance, she is determined to fit into the Ghanaian gospel music scene with the support of her dedicated team.

With a two-year professional journey, Mz Nana has already produced nine songs, with five already released. During the event, she shared the inspiring story behind “Oma Ne Nsa So,” a song that encapsulates 15 years of prayer and reflection on a personal issue.

Mz Nana emphasized her openness for business, highlighting that songwriting doesn’t confine her to a particular space.

Acknowledging the challenges of being based in the US, she appealed to the Ghanaian media for support, urging them to play her songs and foster collaboration.

Nonetheless, Mz Nana expressed her willingness to travel to Ghana, highlighting her admiration for gospel icon, Obaapa Christy and hinted of a possible collaborations with her.

In a spirit of humility, the ‘Oma Ne Nsa So’ hitmaker expressed her desire to learn from the pioneers of Ghanaian gospel music, adding her unique flavour to the genre.

She expressed readiness to collaborate not only with established artistes but also with the youth, highlighting her ability to blend African and American cultures seamlessly.

Mz Nana’s dedication to blending cultures was evident in her church, which encompasses people from all African nations. She shared her experience of receiving songs from God, emphasizing the importance of cultural integration in her music.
