An aspirant for the National Nasara Coordinator position of the ruling New Patriotic Party [NPP] is promising to win the Asawase Constituency seat for the ruling party.

Abdul Aziz Haruna Futa says he has the ability to ensure more than 2000 youth cross-carpet from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Asawase constituency to the NPP.

The Asawase constituency is the only seat being held by the NDC in the Ashanti region. The Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency, Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak, has vowed to ensure the NPP does not win the seat in the 2020 elections.

But speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Wednesday, Aziz Haruna Futa, said the NDC will fall in the Ashanti region.

According to him, the Asawase seat will be a cool chop for NPP in 2020 if given the nod as Nasara Coordinator.

“I will chase NDC from the Zongos and make Nasara an election-winning machine”, he bragged.

He said if, given the nod, he will tap the experience and expertise of all well-meaning Zongo indigenes to help shape a positive image for the Zongos.

The 39-year-old aspirant said he opted for the National Nasara Coordinator position because of his background as a Muslim and a Zongo indigene.

He said regardless of one’s political affiliation, his leadership will operate an all-inclusive and open office policy where all Zongo people will be brought on board to suggest and recommend policies that will better the lives of the people.

The former Accra Hearts of Oak management member turned politician noted that he has kick-started his campaign which is being well received by the delegates and the feedbacks are encouraging and favour him as the best candidate for the national Nasara slot.
