Bukom Banku

Former Ghana Amateur boxing team captain, Bastie Samir, has revealed that he solved a huge problem in Ghana after beating Briama Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku, at the Bukom Boxing Arena in 2017.

According to the boxer, Banku became a burden on some Ghanaians who accused him of assaulting women.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s SportsNite show, he said he was loved by Ghanaians the more after showing Bukom Banku his level.

“I became more popular after beating Bukom Banku; also, I put smile on the faces of many Ghanaians after beating him. Many people were happy I floored him,” he stated.

Bastie further revealed that he is a close friend of American boxer Floyd Mayweather and has been his sparring partner on four occasions.

Bastie has fought 17 times with 15 knockouts. He recently defeated Lokossou Raoul of Benin in round two in an international Catchweight contest.
