Medeama SC President Moses Armah says his ultimate ambition is to see his side win the CAF Champions League title.
His comments come as the Mauve and Yellow prepare to host five-time African champions TP Mazembe on Sunday, September 6, at the TNA Stadium in the first leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round.
Speaking in an interview ahead of the game, Armah says he remains excited by the prospect of fulfilling his long-held ambition of seeing CAF Champions League football played in Tarkwa, describing it as a dream that is gradually becoming a reality.
“I’m very, very happy and very, very excited all the time. In the beginning, that was my wish, and it’s coming true,” he said.
However, the club president says the dream will only be complete when Medeama goes beyond participation and lifts the CAF Champions League trophy in Tarkwa.
“I’ve not been there yet until I hold the CAF Champions League in Tarkwa,” he added.
The return fixture is set for week later in Lubumbashi.
Medeama achieved their best performance in Africa’s premier club competition by reaching the group stage in the 2023/24 season.
