Policemen in Assin Fosu are up in arms against a musician who in his latest song has accused them of being corrupt.
The musician, Kofi Owusu in the lyrics of the song, sought to suggest they are not living up to expectation.
According to him, he was stabbed with a pair of scissors by a young man in Assin Fosu where the case was reported to the Assin Fosu police station.
He was asked by the police to do personal arrest, one week after the police had failed to arrest the suspect.
He personally arrested, the suspect and handed him over to the police where he was eventually processed to the Assin Fosu District court for trial.
The suspect was fined GHC 900 to the court and GHC 2000 to the victim.
But Kofi claims the suspect was forced to pay the court fine of GHC 900 but the GHC 2000 which was supposed to be paid to the suspect had not been paid ever since the court trial ended.
The situation triggered the Rastafarian to fire back through a song, titled “Court Bamboo”.
Meanwhile, the Assin Fosu divisional police commander who spoke to Adom News’s Alfred Amoh off record, said he will invite the rastafarian, Kofi Owusu for further investigation.
The Assin Fosu court registrar, Abubakar Sadique, who also explained their side of the story to   journalists said, the accused couldn’t pay the GHC 2000 court fine to the complainant after paying the GHC 900 due court because, the accused is a student and that the court is yet to liquidate his property to offset the outstanding fine.
