A 21-year-old man, Kwame Osei is in a critical condition after he was attacked by some land guards in Opeikuma Anigyiekrom in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region.
According to brother of the deceased, Moses Abekah, the incident happened around 8:pm Thursday where his brother was returning from work and was ambushed by the land who snatched his brother’s valuables from him.
In an attempt to snatch his phone and money from them, the angry land guards attacked him with a sharp blade and has been unconscious since.
He revealed that, the residents have complained bitterly to the Opeikuma Police command in Kasoa to mount barriers to protect people against the land guards but it all proved futile.
“The area has been dangerous for some time now. These robbers who always pose as land guards beat my brother to and now he is in coma. The incident happened around 8pm. They realized he had money on him”.
“They used blade to butcher him. It’s very sad. Government should protect us. We don’t believe in the Kasoa police anymore. They should mount barriers everywhere. It is not about the Nigerians. They are mostly Ghanaians…” he said sadly.
