Power restored to some affected areas as GRIDCo intensifies restoration efforts – Richmond Rockson

Electricity has been restored to some areas affected by the recent power outage, with engineers from the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) continuing efforts to reconnect customers who remain without supply.

The Public Relations Officer at the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition, Richmond Rockson, said GRIDCo’s engineering teams are still working on the ground to safely and quickly restore power to all affected communities.

In an update shared on Facebook, Mr Rockson said significant progress has been made, with electricity already restored to several areas.

He added that restoration efforts are ongoing in the remaining affected locations, assuring the public that every necessary measure is being taken to restore power as quickly as possible while prioritising the safety of personnel and the stability of the power system.

Mr Rockson acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the outage and expressed appreciation to customers for their patience, understanding and cooperation.

He assured the public that restoring electricity to all affected communities remains the top priority for GRIDCo and the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition.
