The family of veteran Ghanaian actress Grace Nortey has announced designated hours for friends, colleagues and sympathisers to visit and mourn with them following her death.
The family will receive mourners at No. 13 Calvary Street, G.E., on Wednesdays from 12 noon to 5 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In a statement, the family said it was open to receiving loved ones and members of the public who wish to join them in honouring the life and legacy of the celebrated actress.
Grace Nortey passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the age of 89.
Announcing her death, the family paid tribute to her as “a mother to our family” and “a legend to the nation.”
The veteran actress was widely recognised for her contributions to Ghana’s theatre, television and film industries, with a career spanning several decades.
Her death has triggered an outpouring of tributes from colleagues, fans and industry stakeholders who have remembered her for her talent and longstanding contribution to Ghana’s creative arts.
The family said details of her funeral arrangements and final funeral rites will be communicated at a later date.
