The Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori Atta, says government will continue to invest heavily in its flagship policies such as Planting for Food and Jobs, free SHS, One District One Factory.
Present the 2018 budget statement and fiscal policy in Parliament today, Mr Ken Ofori Atta says the budget will not just be a statement to share the national cake but rather it will capture how the nation comes together to meet the challenges.
“Government will invest heavily in its flagship policies – Planting for Food and Jobs, free SHS, One District One Factory” he said.
He said the Asempa budget which he presented in March this year set in motion key policy priority and flagship projects to restore and maintain macroeconomic stability, boost revenue streams, promote private sector-led jobs and wealth creation.
This he noted the policies are yielding results that have brought back smiles to several Ghanaians.
Christening the 2018 budget as ‘Putting Ghana to work’, the finance minister noted that it is time to rise and build and by quoting Nehmiah who built the broken walls of Jerusalem.
