Ghana Oil Company (GOIL) sends its goodwill message to Ghana’s sole campaigners in this year’s African club competitions Kumasi Asante Kotoko towards their upcoming encounter against Cotonsport Garoua in the CAF Confederation Cup competition this weekend.

A win for the record Ghanaian champions will see them through to the group stage of the competition.

GOIL is a major sponsor of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

A message by Mr Patrick Akorli, MD and CEO of GOIL encouraged the Porcupine Warriors to bring honour to the country. He said: “You have the capacity to excel, so all hopes are on you not just to win, but win convincingly”.

Kotok registered an impressive 3-2 away scoreline in Cameroon in the first leg and the Porcupine Warriors are on course to progress to the next stage of the competition

The statement notes that as Ghana’s number one OMC and a major sponsor of Kotoko, GOIL is urging the team to eschew complacency, remain focused and go all out to beat Cotonsport Garoua and qualify for the next stage of the competition

GOIL is meanwhile urging fans of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and football-loving Ghanaians to troop to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in their numbers to offer Asante Kotoko the maximum support to clinch victory.
