Ghanaian hip-hop rapper, Kwesi Arthur says he is surprised at the news that he has been nominated for the 2018 BET Awards.

The “Grind Day” rapper, popularly noted for going topless during his performances, said on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM Wednesday that “I feel blessed and confused. I wasn’t expecting this. It is God’s engineering…” he told host, KMJ.

Asked if he had an insider who worked things out for him, the rapper said “I don’t have a direct contact with anyone. I am still working. I never saw this coming and I am overwhelmed, to be honest…”.

Kwesi Arthur however urged his fans and Ghanaians to vote for him with the aim of winning the award since Ghana has missed out on other nominations for awards.

“The support is amazing and I feel like it’s not for just me. It’s for everyone. With God, everything is possible and I hope that we grow bigger…” he said.
