The Assin Fosu District Court has remanded a man for allegedly killing his wife over money into police custody.
Twenty-eight (28) year-old Ernest Appiah popularly known as Joe absconded after allegedly kicking his 20-year-old pregnant wife, Faustina Ama Ataa Appiah in the stomach leaving her bleeding for days before her death at Assin Atentan in the Central Region.
The deceased had gone to the suspect for money when it turned into a squabble between them during which the suspect got angry and brutalized the deceased wife.
Assin Swedru Police Commander, Supt. Henry Batso who disclosed the incident to Adom News’ Alfred Amoh said the police arrested the suspect at his hideout days after the incident and arraigned him before court on murder charges.
