The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the release of the base capitation grant for schools for 2018/2019 tranche.
In a statement signed by the Deputy Director-General, Anthony Boateng, it said the grant has been released to the bank account of the various District Education Directorates on behalf of the schools.

“Regional Directors are to inform the District Directors of the development and to indicate to them not to deduct the sports and culture fees out of this particular tranche,” the statement cautioned.
The grants are to be used to fund the end of term examination.
“Regional and District Directors are to ensure strict adherence to this directive,” the statement directed.
