Four persons including a woman have been arrested by the Ashaiman Police for allegedly carrying illegal arms.
Public Relations Officer of Tema Regional Police Command, DSP Juliana Obeng who disclosed this to Adom News said the suspects were arrested upon a tip off.
Two suspects namely Tanko Abdul-Rahman 25, and Tawiah 25 who were arrested at their hideout at Ashaiman Washington led the police to a block factory which belongs to one of the suspects.
DSP Juliana Obeng said, upon reaching the block factory, the police arrested the other suspects by name Michael Dobgome alias Yeye 35years, who happens to be the caretaker of the block factory and his girlfriend Matilda Sistope for being behind the act.
She said the suspects are in the custody of the Ashaiman police while investigations continue.
This notwithstanding, DSP Juliana Obeng reiterated their preparedness to this Wednesday’s elections.
