Ghana’s U-17 women’s national team, the Black Maidens, will face Liberia in the second round of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
The Maidens booked their place in the next stage with a commanding aggregate victory over Togo, winning the first leg 2-0 away before recording a dominant 6-0 triumph in the return fixture in Accra.
Liberia, meanwhile, advanced to this round after receiving a walkover against Libya.
The second-round tie is scheduled for May, with Ghana expected to host the first leg between May 22 and 24. The return leg will be played in Liberia between May 29 and 31.
Ghana will be aiming to maintain their strong form as they continue their push for qualification to the global tournament. The team is also returning to the competition after serving a two-year suspension linked to age eligibility violations.
