The Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has commissioned five water projects across key communities as part of efforts to improve access to safe and reliable water supply.
The projects, located in Amanfro, Oparekrom, Djankrom East, Akwane Dobro, and Papito, are expected to ease the long-standing challenges residents face in accessing clean drinking water, particularly in underserved areas within the constituency.

Speaking during a tour of the beneficiary communities on Sunday, the MP described access to potable water as a fundamental necessity that must not be compromised. He noted that the provision of the facilities forms part of a broader development agenda aimed at improving living conditions and public health outcomes.
According to him, many residents—especially women and children—have over the years had to travel long distances in search of water, often relying on unsafe sources.
He expressed confidence that the newly commissioned projects would significantly reduce that burden while promoting improved hygiene and sanitation practices.

Mr. Annoh-Dompreh also urged community members to take ownership of the facilities by ensuring proper maintenance and safeguarding them against misuse. He stressed that the sustainability of the projects depends largely on the commitment of residents to preserve them for future generations.

He further commended traditional leaders, Assembly Members, and community stakeholders for their cooperation and support throughout the implementation process, noting that their involvement was critical to the successful completion of the projects.
Residents in the beneficiary communities welcomed the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful. Many expressed relief that the projects would bring an end to years of water scarcity and improve their daily lives.
The MP reaffirmed his commitment to continuing development efforts across the constituency, stating that improving access to essential services remains a top priority.
