Former presidential staffer under the Mahama Administration, Kale Cezar has criticized the government for the manner in which it is dealing with allegations of corruption.

According to him, the strategy adopted by the government is at variance with the promises it made when it was in opposition.

For a government that accused the previous government of corruption, Cezar said he is doubtful of the methods the NPP intends to use to fight corruption.

He made the statement at a press conference held in Wa to declare his intention to contest for the deputy general secretary position.

Ghanaians were brutally deceived, as a result, Ghanaians sold their mandate for only the  NPP to come to mess up things and also to amass wealth,” he alleged.

Mr. Kale continued, “Despite being so young in government, barely 18 months, they are saddled with so many corruption allegations.”

He said the NPP deceived Ghanaians that they are coming out with policies that can check corruption and thus set up the special prosecutor’s office but nothing has come out of that office thus far.

Mr. Kale called on the media to work to expose the government in all its corrupt dealings for the betterment of the country.

On his ambition of becoming the Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Mr. Kale who is a former regional secretary of the NDC said if he wins, he will complement effectively the efforts and objectives of the General Secretary.

He said he wants to serve as a catalyst to bring improvement to the management of the party at the national level and will help the national executives to develop a comprehensive welfare system for the party.

He admonished the NDC to focus their attention on the grassroots of the party

”The NDC is a grassroots party, a social democratic party. Over the years we look as if we have not focused enough on the footsoldiers which have caused our painful defeat in the last election.

He called on the leadership of the party especially Council of Elders, former government functionaries and all influential persons in the party to focus on the grassroots and foot soldiers of the party.
