The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor, has lauded the Ghana National Gas Limited Company (Ghana Gas) for what he described as outstanding operational and financial performance, calling the company a key pillar in Ghana’s energy security and industrial development agenda.
Speaking at the company’s 8th Annual General Meeting on Friday, July 31, 2026 at the Palms by Eagles Conference Room, the Minister said Ghana Gas’ results reinforce its strategic role in delivering the Government’s Gas-to-Power agenda.

According to the 2025 Annual Report and Audited Financial Statements approved at the AGM, Ghana Gas recorded major gains in the year under review:as Gas processing volumes increased* from 100 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) to 130 MMscfd whiles
Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) production rose* significantly
Net profit grew by 97 percent
“Ghana Gas delivered strong results, recording growth in gas processing and LPG production, alongside an impressive 97 percent increase in net profit. These achievements reaffirm the Company’s vital role in strengthening Ghana’s energy security and supporting the Government’s Gas-to-Power agenda,” Hon. Jinapor stated.
While applauding the performance, the Minister urged Management to build on the gains by improving operational reliability, expanding critical gas infrastructure, and making strategic, sustainable investments to meet Ghana’s growing energy demand.
He emphasized that a resilient and efficient energy sector is fundamental to accelerating industrialization, creating jobs, and driving sustainable national development.
Hon. Jinapor also assured the Board, Management, and shareholders of the Ministry’s continued support, pledging to work closely with Ghana Gas to strengthen its capacity as a leading force in Ghana’s energy transition.
The Minister commended the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA), the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Energy and Green Transition for their oversight of State-Owned Enterprises, noting that such supervision has improved corporate governance and accountability.

Presenting the Independent Auditor’s Report, KPMG highlighted Ghana Gas’ strong financial performance, citing success in reducing operational costs, improving efficiency, and maintaining sound financial management practices.
The 8th AGM brought together shareholders and stakeholders to review performance, assess strategic direction, and reaffirm the company’s commitment to delivering sustainable value while supporting Ghana’s energy security and socio-economic development.
