Brogya Genfi thanks Mahama for latest appointment after reshuffle

Former Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, has expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for appointing him as Presidential Advisor on National Resilience and Emergency Preparedness following the latest ministerial reshuffle.

In a statement shared on Facebook, Mr. Brogya Genfi thanked the President for the confidence reposed in him, mentioning his earlier appointment as Deputy Defence Minister.

He also recalled the responsibility entrusted to him after the death of Defence Minister Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah in the recent military helicopter crash.

“I assure the President of my unwavering loyalty and dedication in discharging my duties in this new capacity,” he stated.

Mr. Brogya Genfi also thanked the directors and staff of the Ministry of Defence, the Military High Command, the Ghana Armed Forces, the Armed Forces Council, Defence Industries Holding Company (DIHOC), as well as the Veterans Administration, Ghana, for their support during his time at the ministry.

The appointment forms part of changes announced by President Mahama as part of a broader government reshuffle.
