The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) is set to commission five new offices across Northern Ghana this month as part of efforts to expand access to its services and improve service delivery in underserved areas.
The Authority announced in a Facebook post that the new offices will be opened in Salaga, Yendi, Navrongo, Nalerigu and Tumu, while a sod-cutting ceremony will also be held for the construction of a new office in Bole.
According to the schedule released by the DVLA, the commissioning exercise will begin on Monday, July 13, with the opening of offices in Salaga and Yendi.
The exercise will continue on Tuesday, July 14, with the commissioning of the Navrongo and Nalerigu offices before concluding on Wednesday, July 15, with the opening of the Tumu office.
The Authority will then hold a sod-cutting ceremony on Thursday, July 16, to commence construction of a new DVLA office in Bole.
The expansion forms part of the DVLA’s efforts to decentralise its operations, improve accessibility to licensing and vehicle registration services, and bring its services closer to residents and businesses across Northern Ghana.
