Artiste manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, known in Showbiz as Bulldog has expressed utmost disappointment in Gospel Musician, Sonnie Badu, for calling on Ghanaians to stop criticizing and insulting singer, Ebony for exposing her private parts.
Sonnie Badu in an interview with Sammy K mounted a spirited defence for Ebony, asking critics to show her love instead of being hypocritical.
The Ghanaian UK-based gospel musician pointed out that Ebony has a management team which is aware of the kind of brand they are building.
“Everyone has a reason behind what they do; so before you criticize, listen to the person’s story and know what they have been through.
“All Ebony needs is love. She has a great talent…her style of dressing is not new to us. She was covered during her album launch. So find out her reason and just show love. I mind my business but this is not something I’d condemn. People nicodemously watch performance after criticizing her. She has a management so leave her to do her thing,” he noted.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Bulldog lambasted Sonnie Badu for his assertions labeling him as a ‘phoney’ critic.
According to him, he couldn’t fathom why Sonnie Badu would call for love against Ebony and dump Patapaa Amisty’s viral ‘One Corner’ song into the gutters.
“I am disappointed. I share in one of the things he said that we shouldn’t insult her. She can get married and all that stuff. But for Sonnie Badu to say we are hypocrites, I find it some way. This is a gentleman who did a video to chastise Patapaa and a few weeks down the line you want us to encourage nakedness and not be hypocritical?” he fumed.
In spite of this, Shatta Wale’s former manager believes that Sonnie Badu should ‘come again with his message, I think for me Sonnie Badu should come again with that message.’ he maintained.
