About 30 people have been reported dead in the devastating flood in the Northern part of Ghana according to the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO).

This occurred in 13 districts of the Upper East, Upper West and the Northern Region.

All bodies of the deceased were found and have been buried aside Builsa North where two  death were recorded but one of the bodies has gone missing.

Several people were injured and have been hospitalized.

Only in the northern region, 32 pregnant women were affected as well as 12,857 farms got submerged.

About 9,870 children were also affected in diverse ways.

It is still raining heavily in the region and NADMO has advised that residents be vigilant to prevent other casualties.
