Officials of the Tema West Municipal Assembly have been allegedly attacked by some church members of the Anointed Chapel International in the Tema West Municipal Assembly.

The who were members of an Assembly Task Force, were reportedly at the church to demand documentation on the church’s building permit or in default, close down the church.

The Task Force’s demand, according to reports, did not go down well with some young men believed to be Junior Pastors and members of the church hence the attack.

Reacting to the incident in an interview on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem Tuesday, Kwesi Poku, the Assembly’s immediate past Presiding Member, said the task force had previously issued a letter to the church demanding the same documentation.

According to Mr Poku, leadership of the church failed to respond to the demand, forcing the Assembly to send the taskforce.

It is this visit that resulted in the alleged attacks as the stick-wielding Junior Pastors and church members smashed the vehicles of the task force team.
