The Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs has dismissed reports of asking Nations Builders Corps (NABCo) personnel to leave post.

A letter purported to be from the Ministry indicated that the trainees have been asked to leave their post as the NABCO programme had ended.

The letter noted their programme ended on October 21, 2021, hence the directive.

However, in a new letter signed by the Chief Director of the Ministry, Mr Benjamin Afful, the public has been urged to disregard the initial directive.

“You are hereby informed that the ministry has not taken any decision in relation to the retention or otherwise of NABCO trainees, and as you are aware, it is a government policy that NABCO trainees having gained some level of experience be given the opportunity for placement as part of the exit plan,” part of the statement read.
