A 28-year-old boy, Nana Addo Ofori popularly known as Abodea in Suhum has been arrested by the Suhum Police for allegedly stabbing his fellow with a beer bottle over a lady.
The victim, Farouk Umar, 25 years, who suffered deep cuts in his abdomen and both shoulders, is currently receiving treatment at the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua.

Abodea and his felloww were having fun at E-Pub, a drinking joint located at Suhum T- Junction at midnight.
Reports indicate that Farouk and his friends were attacked by Abodea after they resisted attempts from Abodea to con their lady.

The incident which nearly turned into chaos attracted scores of youth from Gariba Zongo, where the victim resided, to the scene to defend Farouk.
It took the time arrival of the Suhum Police who were on patrol duties to avert the situation from degenerating.

Suhum Police commander, Chief Supt. Joseph Owusu has confirmed the incidence but was unable to confirm what actually resulted in the fight and subsequent stabbing of the victim.
The suspect is currently in the custody of the Suhum police.
