A 39-year-old lady by name Sahadatu Abdul-Rahman, who is otherwise known as Saharatu Adams Lizy has been arrested by the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI).

The BNI and the police have confirmed the arrest of Sahadatu who before her arrest was on the search list of the security forces.

In a report sighted on MyNewsGh, the lady who was said to have defrauded market women in Tamale was arrested while on honeymoon.

According to the report, officials of the BNI monitored and arrested the Sahadatu at a secret location. Sahadatu was said to have been a bride in a recently held wedding at the Bethel Prayer Ministry International at Anomangye-Mpatasie in Kumasi.

After the wedding, she went to enjoy her honeymoon period with her new husband when the police swoop in to arrest her.

Saharatu Adams Lizy who is said to have been playing hide and seek with security agencies, is neck-deep in series of fraud cases in the country.

Sources reveal that she has also duped market women within the Tamale Metropolis running into several millions of Ghana Cedis and thereafter went into hiding with her accomplices until she was arrested.

Her mode of operation was collecting various foodstuffs from the women under the guise of supplying them to the Ghana School Feeding Programme with the promise to pay them with interest but failed to fulfill her part of the bargain.

A complaint was subsequently made at the police station and the Tamale Police Command started a search for the suspect in collaboration with the BNI before she was apprehended.

According to the police, she will be arraigned before court on eight counts of conspiracy to defraud by false pretenses and defrauding by false pretenses.
