For many who admired her on screen, Saturday will mark the hardest scene of all.
Family and scores of admirers will gather to bid a final farewell to late Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo, whose untimely passing in May left the entertainment industry in shock.
The actress will be laid to rest on Saturday, August 8, 2026, following a funeral service at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra, scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m. After the service, she will be buried in a private ceremony attended by close family members.
The final rites comes a week after the first phase of her funeral was held on August 1, 2026, in Laurel, Maryland, USA, where relatives and members of the Ghanaian diaspora gathered to honour her life and legacy.
A thanksgiving service will round off the funeral activities on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Action Chapel International, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Beverly Afaglo passed away on May 24, 2026, at the age of 42, just four days before what would have been her 43rd birthday after a cancer battle.
Throughout her career, Beverly carved a place for herself in Ghana’s movie industry, earning admiration from audiences who watched her evolve into one of the familiar faces on television and the big screen. Off-screen, she was known as a devoted wife and mother whose greatest pride was her family.
She is survived by her husband and their two children, who now prepare for one final goodbye as loved ones gather to celebrate a life that, though cut short, left lasting memories in the hearts of many.
