BECE candidate dies in the Central region

One of the candidates in the just ended Basic Educational Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Central region is reported to have died.

The deceased, Edward Acquah of Apewosika Putubiw D/A Basic school fell unconscious whiles writing the Ghanaian Language (Fante) paper and was rushed to the Ewim Government Hospital where he died.

The grandfather of the deceased, Kojo Nyarko in an interview with Adom News’ Kafui Justice said the family has lost a valuable asset.

He indicated that, the late Edward did not show any sign of ailment when he left the house for school thus his death comes as a shock to them.

The distraught grandfather wondered why such a bubbly, humble and respectful young boy could die so soon.

Mr. Kojo Nyarko was however thankful to the teachers of Putubiw D/A Basic School and Aggrey Memorial Zion SHS for trying to save his grandson.
