Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, John Dumelo, has shared a video capturing moments from his recent donation of shoes to schoolchildren in his constituency.
The video, posted on his social media platforms, shows the distribution of free shoes to pupils in the Airport Residential Area and Okponglo in East Legon as schools resumed.
In the footage, children are seen receiving the footwear, with visible excitement as the MP and his team interacted with them during the exercise.
According to him, the initiative is part of his continued effort to support education and ease the burden on parents, especially at the beginning of a new school term.
He reiterated his commitment to the welfare of his constituents, particularly young students, describing the gesture as one of many interventions under his “#idey4u” initiative.
The video has since attracted attention online, with many commending the gesture as timely support for schoolchildren.
