Teachers at the Akyem Adeambra RC Primary School in the Birim South District of Eastern Region have threatened to close down the school in protest of what they describe as persistent defecation in their classrooms.
A teacher of the school, Richard Asiedu told Adom News the townsfolk have since the beginning of the year turned their classrooms into a public toilet.
He said repeated complaints to education and traditional authorities appear to have fallen on deaf ears hence the decision to close down the school.
The latest incident he said occurred Monday when they went for a sports training session only to discover human excreta in front of all the offices and classrooms.
Mr. Asiedu is convinced it is a deliberate attempt by the youth to disrupt teaching and learning in the school.
