One person has been confirmed dead in an accident which happened Wednesday night at Awutu Adawukwa, near Bawjiase, on the Kasoa-Agona Swedru Highway in the Central Region.
Bawjiase District Police Commander, ASP Bernard Norgah who confirmed the incident to Adom News said the accident was caused by a motor bike rider which was heading to Accra.
The motor bike rider, he said, in the attempt to overtake two vehicles in front of him, veered off his lane and entered into the other lane which resulted in a collision with Hyndai Grace Bus.
ASP Bernard Norgah noted that the tyre of the Hyndai bus was removed as a result of the collision.
A man believed to be in his mid 30s who was in the front seat of the bus lost his life while one other person suffered varying degrees of injuries.
The victims were rushed to the Agona Swedru Governmt Hospital.
