The General-Overseer of Action Faith Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan- Williams, is of the view that Ghanaians appreciate and accept foreign deals than indigenous content.

According to Archbishop Duncan-Williams, the lack of appreciation for local businesses and ideas has contributed to the retarded growth “we find ourselves in.”

“Within our genes, we don’t have the appreciation for another but we appreciate and accept anything foreign. It is something that has to do with the land,” he said.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Joy FM’s SMS show, Archbishop Duncan-Williams explained that lack of appreciation is a culture of Ghanaians.

“It is the spirit and culture of the people not politics and the land will continue to devour us till we learn to appreciate our own. We must begin to learn to accept and adopt the strength of others,” he said.

To Archbishop Duncan-Williams, it is his desire that Ghanaian businessmen and women rise above the odds to do well and leave legacy for future generations.

“There must be constructive criticisms and not destructive, else there will be no tomorrow for generations to come,” he advised.
