The two, belonging to the MTTD unit of the police service, were shot dead by unknown assailants

The bereaved families of the two policemen who were killed at Kasoa Budumburam on Wednesday afternoon have received GHc10,000 from the Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery.

Mr Ambrose Dery presented the package during a visit to their homes on Thursday with the assurance of another package to be announced later.

This package from Mr Dery follows the announcement of a GHc10,000 bounty on the head of Eric Kojo Duah, who is alleged to be the gun used in the killing of two policemen.

The police on Wednesday afternoon arrested three suspects — Ibrahim Zakaria, Isaac Amissah and Dominic Commey in connection with the crime that has shocked the nation.

The suspects allegedly shot Sergeant Michael Gyamasi and Lance Corporal Awal Mohammed, both attached to the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service at Kasoa.
