Medeama SC midfielder Salim Adams has described his maiden call-up to the Black Stars as a defining moment in his career, expressing both pride and determination after earning a place in Ghana’s squad for the upcoming friendly against Mexico later this month.

The influential midfielder, who has been a standout performer for the Ghana Premier League title contenders, has been included in the 23-man squad as Ghana steps up preparations for the international fixture.

Speaking shortly after Medeama’s 2-1 defeat to Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday, Adams could not hide his excitement about the national team invitation.

“I feel very excited about getting a Black Stars call-up,” he told 3Sports.

“It’s a huge step for me, and it motivates me to keep pushing harder. I’m hoping to achieve more and earn opportunities beyond here,” Adams added.

Adams has been one of Medeama’s key figures this season, producing consistent performances in midfield while also contributing significantly in front of goal.

He has netted 11 goals in the domestic league, playing a central role in the club’s ongoing push for the championship.
