Member of Parliament for Assin South, Rev John Ntim Fordjour is calling for a total ban on betting companies in the country.

His call comes on the heels of an upsurge in activities of the gambling centres which are dotted across big cities and towns in the country.

He noted that the Gaming Commission must take drastic measures to flush out such companies in the interest of Ghana’s future.

“In the olden days when we were growing up, it was even an abomination for you to go to a game centre and play games. Your parents won’t even allow you but this time around, the youth have made these game centres their home.

“And so I’m calling on the gaming commission to immediately take actions against the acts and ban the business because it is unacceptable” he told Adom News’ Abednego Asante Asiedu after presenting a statement on the floor of Parliament.

Reverend John Ntim Fordjour however assured the youth that President Akufo-Addo will create more jobs for the unemployed and therefore should have hope in him.
