The family of late President Prof. John Evans Atta Mills is appalled at the state of the final resting place of their kinsman in Accra.

Asomdwee Park, which is the presidential mausoleum at Osu Castle, is a pale shadow of itself as criminals and cattle have taken over the facility.

MP for KEEA, Samuel Atta Mills

 Brother of the late President, Samuel Atta Mills on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem programme, Wednesday said they would accept government’s proposal to manage the facility because late Mills was a statesman.

He noted that, the family was hopeful that, since ‘Asomdwee Park is a State asset, successive governments would continue to maintain the place, as well as help facilitate its completion.

“We believe President Akufo-Addo’s government would honour my brother and maintain Asomdwee Park so as it is now, we are very disappointed,” he bemoaned.

Mr Mills, who is the Member of Parliament for Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem constituency in the Central region, said the family is prepared to take over the management of Asomdwee Park if handed over to them by the government.
