Controversial sports presenter, Patrick Osei Agyemang, popularly known as Countryman Songo, is struggling to come to terms with the Black Stars’ performance against Benin in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Countryman Songo said it was obvious Ghana did not have a master tactician to secure a victory in the tournament.

The Black Stars were held by Benin in their opening game of the AFCON as Mickael Pote scored twice to earn a draw in Ismailia. The Black Stars return to action against Cameroon on Saturday evening. 

But, many Ghanaians are skeptical about Ghana’s ability to qualify to the next stage after failing to secure the necessary three points.

Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah

Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem programme, Wednesday, Countryman Songo blamed the coach, Kwesi Appiah for the poor results.

“Ghana has no coach; Kwesi Appiah has no tactics or philosophy and I have been vindicated,” he fumed.

The controversial sports presenter, who is host of popular show, ‘Fire for Fire’, said after 40 minutes of play, the Black Stars were visibly tired.

“The coach was afraid to change supposed senior players who were not playing anything. Is this a coach?” He quizzed.

Countryman Songo said his Blood Pressure (BP) shot up after the game and he had to take some drugs to “cool down my system.”
