The Akuapim Mampong Traditional Council has entreated the general public as matter of urgency to endeavour to adhere to all traditional rules by avoiding Drumming and Noise making in the Akuapim Traditional area when the Odwira Festival commences.

The Akuapim Mampong Apasmakahene Nana Gyamfi III who disclosed this to Adom News said the Ban on Drumming and Noise Making in the area should be observed in the interest of peace, harmony and national security.

He said all worship should be confined to Church premises; noise including hand clapping should be ceased.

Positioning of loud speakers outside the church premises and the mosques he said to be banned during the period.

Nana Gyamfi III said road side evangelist should also avoid the use of noise making equipment and the use of noisy musical instruments.

He therefore urged the general public to comply with the ban which commences today Monday, September 11, 2017 and ends on 24th September 2017.

He also stated unequivocally that, any institution that will flout the rules and regulations governing this year’s festival would be sanctioned.
