Asiedu Nketia’s reaction to Cpt. Mahama’s death ‘useless’

General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has incurred the wrath of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for blaming President Akufo-Addo for the gruesome murder of military captain Maxwell Adam Mahama.

Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said the President cannot absorb himself from blame as the Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, President cannot absorb himself from blame as the Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces.

The soldier was lynched by some residents of Denkyira Boase in the Central Region Monday morning while on his routine jogging, it has been reported.

He was stoned and burnt after residents mistook him for an armed robber when they allegedly saw a weapon on him.

The death of Captain Adam Mahama has been roundly condemned by Ghanaians. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has pledged his government’s commitment to bring the perpetrators to face the law.

But the NDC scribe maintained that there is total security breakdown after President Akufo-Addo took over power.

General Mosquito warned they would be forced to engage in a legitimate social revolution to protest the inability of President Akufo-Addo to protect the good people of this country.

In a rebuttal, the Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NPP, Samuel Pyne described as “useless” the comment by Asiedu Nketia.

He indicated that, his [Mosquito] conduct smacks of hypocrisy and double standards since “even worse things happened when the NDC was in government.

The NPP man cited how a Chief in General Mosquito hometown was gun down in broad day light under former President John Mahama and till date no one have been arrested to buttress his point.

“There is no sense in what Asiedu Nketia has put out. We don’t need to politicize such dastardly act when the family of Captain Adam Mahama is in pain” he added.

Sam Pyne called on the police to as a matter of urgency arrest Asiedu Nketia for inciting to public against government.
