Customers of embattled gold dealership firm, Menzgold, who were arrested for besieging the residence of its CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah, have pleaded not guilty to charges leveled against them.

The customers were charged with unlawful entry and offensive conduct after they forcibly entered the Trasacco Estates home of Mr Mensah in the bid to ask for their debts.

Appearing before a Madina Circuit Court on Tuesday, seven out of the 90 customers were admitted to bail with a sum of GHc 3,000 and a surety with 83 absent in court.

According to lawyers of the customers, led by Ato Quaye Sam, they were served to appear before the court just yesterday, the reason for the absence of the other 83 accused persons.

The absentees were expected to come from Kumasi, Tarkwa and other parts of the court to appear before the court.


The lawyer in the defense of the customers said his clients went to NAM1’s residence to inquire of the 200 customers who had allegedly been paid since they could not confirm from any of the customers.
