Numerous police personnel have been deployed to guard the celebration of the International Peace Day in Sankore in the Asuanfo South district of the Brong Ahafo region after cutlass wielding youth threatened to disrupt the program.
Media men who got there earlier had to run for their lives and town folks also fled when the armed men were advancing towards the venue angry and chanting.

It is still not clear their reason for their actions, but Joy FM’s Precious Semevor who is among the media men said the Police are there in their numbers to ensure a smooth program.
