A two-member gang of armed robbers have inflicted cutlass wounds on a retired PBC Cocoa purchasing Clark R.K Ampomah, in Assin Fosu after robbing him of his money and other valuable items.

The armed robbers who wielded pump action guns, hammer, pinch bar and cutlass attacked him at his residence around 8:00 pm Thursday.

The armed robbers made away with Ghc900.00 meant for a funeral organization this weekend, mobile phone, tablet and a dressing bag the robbers thought it contains money.

He said although the door was locked, the robbers forcibly broke into the room causing damage to the main door, entered and robbed him at at gunpoint.

“I was stabbed at my forehead and my back whiles the other culprit strike me with the pinch bar,” he said.

According to him, the robbers claim they are unemployed and for that matter, there is no option than to do engage in armed robbery for survival.

Wife of the victim, Grace Kyire Boateng told Adom News said he met the husband in a pool of blood and was rushed to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the case has since been reported to the Assin Fosu Police.
