She made the comment while reacting to the humiliating 2017 Corruption Perception Index released Wednesday February 22, 2018 by the local chapter of Transparency International, Ghana Integrity Initiative.
Ghana scored 40 out of a possible clean score of 100 which ranked the country 81 out of 180 countries assessed, the lowest since 2012.

The score has been turned into political football by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and NDC, both aiming to score political points out it.
Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem, Jeane Marie said the NPP has no moral right to blame NDC for worsening corruption in the country.
She explained that President Akufo-Addo who is a self-acclaimed anti-corruption crusader cannot absolve himself from blame.

The NDC woman cited how he [Nana] cleared many of his appointees including the Trade Minister, Alan Kyerematen of any wrongdoing in the cash-for-seat saga when the committee set up to investigate the issue had not begun setting, to buttress her point.
“Akufo-Addo is a Clearing Agent not a President because he has cleared all his appointees accused of being corrupt” she stressed.
Jeane Marie said attempts by the Akufo-Addo government to blame its failed corruption fight on the NDC will be an exercise in fuitility.
In a quick rebuttal, however, the Greater Accra Regional Women’s Organizer of the NPP, Joyce Zempare said President Akufo-Addo is on track in his corruption fight.
She noted that, the worsening corruption perception is as a result of the scandals that erupted in 2016 shortly after the NDC left office.
Joyce Zempare however called for a non-partisan approach to fighting corruption to ensure the real culprits are brought to book.
